Description
The NPC Series Embedded IPC is purpose designed for communication intensive applications requiring extensive LAN and Serial port capacity. In particular the NPC has been designed to integrate into an evolving utility communication infrastructure where there is likely to be extensive use of Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs), their configuration software, and supporting systems.
The compact 19" Rack or Bench mounting chassis benefits from a completely fan-less cooling system; delivering high performance, a quiet working environment and low cost of ownership without compromise. The NPC is based on Intel Celeron M technology and provides one 10/100/1000BaseT and four 10/100BaseT LAN ports to provide up to 5 Ethernet connections, 8 serial ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port and 8 Digital Inputs /Digital Outputs. The serial communication interface plate benefits from an optional choice of connector types offering an alternative to standard D-Type connectors. The compact and stylish NPC Series can also be effectively applied in Thin Client, Net work Appliance and Fire wall applications.
