The OM9001 Communications Master
provides an intelligent interface between Programmable Logic
Controllers (PLCs) and a set of OptiMateŽ modules. The OM9001
communicates serially to the PLC, transferring register data
in both directions. Up to 31 OptiMateŽ modules, provided they
are 1000 series or 600 series, can be connected to the OM9001
for transparent operation with the PLC. |

With the OM9001 Communications Master, the OptiMateŽ
series provides the means to construct large custom panels with
standard building block modules. OptiMateŽ modules can be grouped
together or separated by up to 4000 feet. Any combination of operator
panels can be incorporated into a system.
The OM 9001 communication master can transfer register
data between a PLC and up to 31 OptiMateŽ 600 or 1000 series modules.
All registers must be within a 1000 register range. Communications
with the OptiMateŽ modules is over RS422 communications.
